I was able to get an upgrade to a Bellagio Fountain view but know this, Hotels will only upgrade you based on availability and depending on the day. You will not get upgraded on days like 4th of July or New Year's Eve and if you say you did then you're a liar! Hotels can easily sell these rooms even if they overprice them on peak days.

I was so nervous to try this. I put the $20 between my 2 cards. I asked if there were any complimentary upgrades. He put the $20 off to the side and said he would take a look. It worked!!! Got upgraded to the Augustus Tower with a jacuzzi and a view of the pool for all 4 nights. Will definitely do this again on my next visit.

This is as simple and easy as made out to be on here, and anyone would be a fool to not try the $20 trick.. Got to Caesar's around 3PM; short line. We had a nice younger woman. Gave her the $20 sandwich which she put to the side before happily upgrading us to a premium room in the Octavious Tower overlooking the pools. It was easy, NOT awkward in any sense, and worked like a charm. There's no need to be nervous. Beautiful, modern room (she said it was the newest tower) overlooking the gorgeous pools. I'm typing this review as I sit in this fabulous jacuzzi big enough for two, in a marble bathroom the size of a small bedroom. Looked it up and this room goes for $425/night. Not bad for the $109 I paid through Hotwire! This works. Try it.

When we arrived at the check in line it was moderately packed. Everything was going like an ordinary check in at a hotel. When the desk clerk asked for our credit card and photo I'd we handed her the sandwich. She told us to wait for after she has finished her check in with us to give tips. She then began to type on her computer for a few min and we held a good general conversation. She asked how was our flight and everything like that. Then she could give us a complementary upgraded of our room moving us from a basic room to a full palace room suite. We gladly excepted and thanked her for her services while giving her the tip. Our room is on the 17th floor, has a two bathrooms a walk through glass shower, king size bed, fully stocked refrigerator, hallway with two whole closets, and a perfect window view of the pools. I was skeptical about this when I first read about the sandwich trick but I am living proof that it truly works.

Wow, this worked a treat, we had TWO rooms booked in the Roman tower and I decided to go with a $50 sandwich rather than two $20 bills, and it worked. It took him about half an hour to move people around with the help of his supervisor, but the lure of the $50 bill was too great. Both rooms were upgraded to the 27th floor of the Palace Tower, which was awesome, overlooking the pool. Go on try it, it worked for me it should work for you 😆

Was on company travel for just a night, so I thought I would try it. Did the sandwich thing to a young man at reception. He took the $20 out, spread it on the counter and said "what are you looking for, sir?" I was at a convention on my feet all day, so I asked for a high up, spa tub. He smiled, handed me the keys to a high floor, strip view suite with a great spa tub. Like a charm!!

Arrived about 11:30, handed the desk clerk the sandwich. She politely pushed the $20 back toward us, indicating that if it was a gratuity she could only accept it *after* the transaction. I left it sitting there, of course. I asked about any upgrades available, and she started checking. We could have had a higher upgrade if we were willing to take a smoking room, but the shift from "deluxe" to "premium" is quite an improvement in the Palace Tower. Very pleased!

I approached the counter with ID, CC and a $20 sandwiched between the two. I handed that to the check in attendant with my name and asked if their were any complimentary upgrades. He began to look me up but sat my money on the counter and said "thank you it you just hold onto that." We talked about it being my first time in Vegas & how I was celebrating my 25th with my 3 girlfriends. He gave me extra check out tips since there was a huge convention leaving the same morbing as me and told me that he upgraded my room and even explained the view we'd have of the Garden of the Gods. I was extremely pleased since I booked as a package with Southwest, I wasn't sure they'd even offer to upgrade me.

My wife and I had reservations for just under a week so we felt it best to increase the amount to $50. We heard upgrades for longer durations are more challenging. I explained it was our first visit and a mix of work and pleasure. I asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available. There was no need to sandwich the money, I left it on the counter near my hand, then pushed it his way after he graciously assisted with a great check in and upgrade. It was a pleasant experience with a great outcome, chit chatted while he looked for room options. Our upgraded room was $50 more per night at the time of our booking(with no gaurantee of a grear view and high floor), so this was definitely money well spent.

After successfully applying the tricks at Bellagio, I tried to do the same at Nobu. However, I believe it's a bit hard here since we were let to check in at the 2nd floor area where two staffs sat side by side on a table. The lady handling our check in politely handed my $20 back. Read about all of the successful attempts, and decided to try it myself. We booked a three night trip to Caesar's on a free offer from Total Rewards. Before the trip, I had requested a room upgrade over the phone, and was upgraded from Roman Tower to Forum Tower. Once we arrived at the hotel, I requested an upgrade (celebrating 10 years together with my fiancé). I was pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded to the 34/36 floor in the Augustus Tower. We were pretty hesitant when we first heard about the trick, but after this experience, we'd do it again. Arrived on the Friday of a long weekend. It was very busy at the front desk but explained that it was our first visit to vegas and that my husband was part of the wedding party that weekend (wedding was at Caesar's). Presented my credit card pre-wrapped with a 20. She was very professional and placed the tip in front of us, and got to work and found us a wonderful upgrade-- twice the room size and closer to the wedding venue! After we left, she picked up the tip. Win-win!

Even though his manager could clearly see, the clerk happily told us that we'd been upgraded to a great room with a fantastic view (63rd Floor, or the 14th floor in reality). Read about the twenty dollar trick, booked 2 standard rooms with breakfast online. There are 5 of us, all adults one with autism. Approached the desk and was greated by a very welcoming male receptionist. He checked our rooms and at this point I asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available. We were on our 25th anniversary vacation which I mentioned also. I placed 2 $20 bills in between ID & credit card, because we had 2 rooms. After a few minutes of checking his screen he says he certainly could upgrade us and was trying to find 2 suitable double rooms on the same floor. When He handed over the keys he told us we were in premier palace tower rooms, with no resort fee and we still had breakfast included. Result !!!!!! I booked the cheapest room I could on the internet knowing I was going to give this a try. It is my wife and 2 children ages 15 and 17. I sandwiched a $50 between my license and cc. It worked like a char. It was pretty crowded when we checked in. 3 line each with 2 clerks. I picked the line with the clerk I thought would be most receptive. When she took my sandwich she laid the $50. off to the side. I didn't have to say anything. She started to quiz me as to why we are in Vegas. I said it was just for Vegas and we planned on hanging at the pool each day. From there she pecked on her computer for a couple of minutes and said I am happy to let you know that I would like to upgrade you to the Palace Tower Deluxe 2 queen room. Then she asked if the money was for her. I said of course and we headed off. It was simple and as I type this I am sitting in our upgraded room. It probably would've worked with a $20. but I thought whats another $30...... Thanks for all the reviews. They really helped..

View kinda sucked but room was really nice compared to what had booked online. One thing I did notice was that thr guy at thr desk kind of stared at the $20 while he had it In his hand kinda got the impression that he was expecting more money. Either way it worked and I will try it again next time with a higher amount.

We were there for four nights and was told it would have been an additional charge of $200 a night if we were to pay. After we accepted the room she looked at the twenty dollar bill and asked "is this for me?" Like she hadn't seen it there before, very smooth!

Got to our booked room and it was like something out of the 1970's. Not very nice. Phoned down to ask if we could upgrade - told it'd be an extra $30 a night but none available. Read this site using the 15 minutes free-wifi. Went to the desk with the $20 sandwiched between cards. He took them said "Ooo, Thank you very much" then upgraded us. Was amazing! I saw the post about the 20.00 trick before going to Vegas for a trade show. I was traveling with 2 other sales guys. I told them about it before we arrived. I got in a different line from them. We arrived early. They went up to the counter refusing to try. They did not even get a room as we were early. I finally got to the counter. I had my twenty in between credit card and drivers lisence. I asked for any available upgrades. I got the upgrade and early check in. The guys put their luggage in my room. We went back down later to the front desk. One guy tried and got the same upgrade I did. The other guy just refused. He got the small room. He was offered the jr suite at an additionial 399.00 a night. Before it was all said and done our group was 5 for 5. I must say it was well worth the 20.00.

There was no wait for the check-in, and I was helped by a friendly young lady. I folded a $20 in half between my license and credit card when I handed them to her. She asked "looking for upgrades?" and started typing away for a good 2 minutes solid. She put us in a really nice deluxe corner room in the Augustus tower with a great strip view out of 2 windows. My 21-yr-old daughter checked into CP today for a birthday weekend with girlfriends. We had reserved a Deluxe Octavious Tower room for her with a 20% online discount. She arrived in Vegas first, alone, and was very shy about trying the $20 trick. She forced herself, and was offered a huge suite in the Roman Tower. After viewing it, she gave me a quick call and I suggested(based on reviews here) that she just try to get the best room possible new tower. The clerk, who had quickly pocketed her 20 seemed perplexed. After a phone consultation, she was given a "VIP floor" suite in the Octavious Tower(2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, great view of Bellagio fountains, 67th floor.) She was scared to try, but worked everything like a pro. She mentioned her birthday, that it was her first time in Vegas, slipped the 20 in with her DL and CC, asked for an upgrade and was polite. When her friends arrived she had a fabulous suite to bring them up to! Thank you - to all the contributors to this site! It worked great for her.

Hey, Just wanted to let everyone know that we booked a classic room and got upgraded to a Palace Tower Deluxe room on the 18th. The room was OK and I had visualized (I teach that to my clients) something a little better. Four hours after getting there I take a shower and the carpet is soaked outside the room and by the door. I called the front desk asked to be moved due to the plumbing issue. Go downstairs to get my key and ask for another upgrade for the troubles of packing again...done! This room was similar except it was bigger, had a two shower heads in a large shower, two toilets and a bidet. Visualize and it will materialize...the tip also helped! Good luck!

I seriously did not think this would work, but decided it was my first bet of the trip. Put the 20 between license and credit card and asked when checking in if there were any complimentary upgrades. The desk person said "let me check" and took a few minutes, then said he had a suite that was being cleaned if I wanted to wait an hour or an even better suite that was smoking. As i did not want the smoking room I took the suite being cleaned. As he finished he asked if the 20 was a gratuity, to which I said yes, and he thanked me and took my phone number and called me 30 minutes later to let me know the suite was clean and to come pick up my keys. The room was amazing overlooking the pool.

We were a family of four and the kind middle-aged lady(Em)gave us a suite with the views of the Bellagio fountains and the strip. At the check-out,,there were no extra charges. It´s good to read others comments that one can´t pull this off in other places but Vegas is the only place to do it. We sure had a good time, but wished the weather was warmer as we didn´t get a chance to spend time at the gorgeous pools at Caesars. 8(

He proceeded to type away and BINGO....I was upgraded to a 950 square foot suite, which had a private entry way, doorbell, huge bathroom, huge entry way and a huge room. Never been able to pull the 20 dollar trick off at other places. Tried in Orlando and Anaheim, they never took the money nor upgraded you. Now it's time for Vegas where the legend begins. This is only half-successful experience just FYI. When we checked in w/o luggage (stored in the first hotel we stayed), the first guy available happened to be an uncooperative one. He got this strange European accent plus an Employee of the month tag and acted just like a emotion-less robot. I did everything by the book, sandwiched the 20 bill when handing over my DL and credit card. The guy mocked at me saying "is this for me? I haven't done anything yet. Let's see what we can do." I thought it was a good start but I was wrong. Guy made a phone call and acted like he's my savior saying I was booked at a standard room rate (Wrong! I booked a roman tower room at the standard rate though), and he did me a favor and put me in Forum tower. I tried to correct him that I booked a tower room but could not locate the email at that moment. After a good 5 mins checking on my phone, I budged and took the forum tower room after he "nicely offered $50 additional per night for an Augustus tower". Asked him about the total rewards member coupon booklet and he kicked me to the membership window despite the fact they had those coupon booklets right at the check-in desks; asked him about something else and he also did not help at all. Went to the room labeled as 50**, thinking wow 50th floor should be high enough to see something, and found out it was the bottom floor in Forum tower and outside my window is the AC and ceiling. Fortunately I did not give up. On my way to pick up luggage and return to the hotel, I tried again with another very nice girl. Explained our situation (first timer, special occasions and how bad that forum tower room was), she did quite a while of typing and said best she could do is the Augustus tower but might not have the best view, everything else were luxurious rooms that she couldn't do. Since it was the 2nd time at the check-in desk, I did not have the chance to hand over her anything, I put the 20 bill under my credit card with a corner out, but she might/might not notice it, and told me she got my credit card info already. And this time she gave me a coupon booklet w/o me even asking. Did not want to cause a scene of money-pushing, so I thanked her like a trillion times and she happily accepted my gratitude. Great room with Jacuzzi, bathroom TV and twice the size of that Forum tower room. Partial strip view though. But we were grateful enough.

We arrived about 4pm on sunday afternoon and there was not many people waiting to check in. I looked for a reasonably young assistant and stood in line behind a guy who was checking in ahead of me. At Caesars there is no line you queue for a particular assistant. I went up to the desk with my Credit Card and passport in hand and I had put a ten & a twenty into the passport but showing to be in clear view when handed over. I asked if there was possibly a complimentary upgrade available and the Clerk replied I will certainly check for you sir !! We were very nervous and excited about giving this a go! We were determined to get something good and were willing to put forward $20 each as we'd got a bargain on our package in the first place and were willing to risk this extra cash (and we were glad we did!). My friend held back with the cases whilst I handed over the 2 passports (to the youngest male clerk we could find!) with a bill in each as I said "and I wondered if there was any chance of an upgrade as it's my friend's 30th birthday". A very helpful member of staff called Housekeeping to check if anything was free (he looked right at the money and smiled!) He asked us to come back in a couple of hours as we were staying for a week so it would be hard to find something available for 7 nights. We were allowed to go up to our original room to freshen up (which was great by UK standards but I know you get so much better in Vegas!) Went back at 8pm and got our upgrade to the Palace Tower which was gorgeous and had a jacuzzi and stunning decor. The guy was so charming and helpful - he knew exactly what was going on and was well up for it! Would totally try this again!

Easy. 30-something Asian fellow at front desk. Wrapped a 20-spot around the credit card and asked if he's going to show me anything "nice". Punched some keys for about ten seconds and said he's got a two bathroom "superior" suite at the end of the 19th floor overlooking the pools. Awesome. LOVED the double shower with separate entrances from each bathroom and the BIG two-seater squared jacuzzi that fills up in about three minutes. Great hotel anyway but nice bonus (especially since I was getting comped to begin with.)

Checked in around 5:00 PM on a Sunday. Located a young girl at the desk. Ask if there were any comp upgrades available. Handed her a 50. She handed it back explaning that she can't except money for upgrades but I can tip her if I'm satisfied with her work. She then started typing away for about 4-5 minutes. She said that there was a very large convention in town so she would have to move some people around. Ended up in the Augustus Towers near the top with a beautiful view of the Belligio fountains and the strip.

I was sceptic but I had read great reviews on this site and I am a good tipper so I didnt mind trying this out. Handed $20 to Michael straightaway and told him it was our anniversary and after about 5 minutes of searching he upgraded us from a bleak classic room to a Palace tower room that had a bathroom ths size of our previous room. Best $20 spent in Vegas. Please guys make sure to leave a tip for room maids, bellhops and valet/taxi guys. Its a service industry that doesnt make much unless you tip them-if service is good make sure to tip. Had a great stay at Caesars too

Worked like a charm. Booked a classic room with the expectation of the $20 trick working. Would not have been happy with the dated classic room decor. Turned out there was no need to worry. Woman was only too happy to accomodate our "complimentary upgrade" request. Actually, she was so friendly, I am not even sure the $20 was necessary. Ended up getting a far superior Deluxe Room, located on the 27th floor, within 100ft. of the pool at the elevator's exit (our request). For $20, we got a room that was running $85-$100 night more (we stayed four nights). Would NEVER go to Vegas without using this trick.

I love this website! Headed to Vegas for my 30th. Booked a standard room through expedia. When checking in I made sure to go with a young guy, most of the success stories are with young males. We had 3 rooms booked and I was checking in all 3 groups. I handed over the ID's and Credit Card and I placed a 50 dollar bill on the counter. He asked if that was for him. When I replied yes he said that he had better do a good job then! All 3 groups had fantastic views of the pools. Rooms were fabulous, really big, clean and beds were so comfy! Everyone had jacuzzi tubs and walk in showers. I got an extra upgrade of a jnr suite )two bathrooms linked by the walk in dual head shower as it was my birthday. For only 50 dollars this was the bargain of the century!!

Slipped the $20 and without any hesitation got bumped from classic room to palace tower w/jacuzzi, widescreen & strip view, for the full week. Same deal for two friends traveling with us; clerk noted our foreign accents, asked them if they wanted to be on the same floor and included them in the upgrade, also for the full week. Checked in on saturday afternoon around 1:30 on the 28th of august. Lobby was dead, we had our pick of all of the check in people, probably about 8 of them, me and my friend had 2 seperate rooms with our girlfriends, booked classic rooms with expedia. went up to a guy who looked cool , mid 20s probably, asked if they had any complimentary upgrades for 2 rooms and slipped him a 50 dollar bill between my CC and license. He said let me check for you guys, he typed for about 5 minutes, got us 2 palace tower rooms on the 25th and 26th floor , we had a nice view of the strip with a 2 person jacuzzi tub and 2 person sink in the Palace tower. Elevators let you off right to the pool also which was awesome. so for 25 each we got upgraded to this nice room for 5 nights. and added bonus was that on our second night, i founde a mini fridge and a bucket of 6 cans of sprite sitting on the floor in the hallway across from our room, so i snatched it up and we had a fridge and sprite to mix our vodka with every every night, a nice bonus haha. and i also talked to a kid in the pool blackjack tables, he said he was offered an upgrade to the Palace tower for 50 dollars extra a night and he took it. sucker. I said you should done your research about the 20 dollar trick

Got a friendly looking woman in her 30's. I handed her my ID + $20 + credit card and asked for a complimentary upgrade. She laid the $20 next to the keyboard. She said they did have a better room in the Augustus Tower but it was a smoking room. I don't smoke and asked if it was bad smelling in there. She said we could ask to have it sprayed if it was too bad. She said that the room I had booked was normally $150 a nite and this one is $450 a nite. I took it and she gave me back the $20. Pretty good. We did have to have it sprayed, and it got rid of the smell. Glad I had the nerve to ask.

We (4 young thirty year old guys - look more like mid-late 20s) had read and prepared for the $20 dollar trick but had our doubts. We had 2 double rooms prebooked for 4 nights in the older tower of Caesar's and, if necessary, wanted to upgrade to either 1 suite or 2 rooms in the newer tower. Anyway it was late (12:00am) on Wed night and I approached the girl (she was one of 2 people working the desk) and had a twenty wrapped around my credit card. I asked for any complimentary upgrades after she looked up our reservations. She said that they have to charge for any upgrades but she'd see what she could do. We ended up paying about a $110 a night more for a 1 bedroom suite with attached 2nd room in the newer Forum tower with no view. They also threw in 4 entrance passes for 2 days worth of entry to their spa (Qua baths) which we didnt' use.

While we were waiting I was watching as the line passed(pretty quick by the way) and I was hoping to get one of the younger Clerks. One thing I noticed that I never had before was how NOBODY tipped the desk clerks...I thought, wow...they all get looked over compared to everyone else in the hotel. Well, I ended up gettin a younger guy in his 20's...gave him my sandwiched 20...told him this was my first time staying at caesars with my girlfriend and that the last time I stayed there my room was facing another roof and air conditioner units but I didn't mind cuz i was with guys...I told him I was trying to make this trip special. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. The guy was nothing but excited to help us into an upgraded room. Arrived early for check in but happened to arrive at the exact same time as hundreds of guys there for the National Steel Workers Union convention (or something like that). Literally a 2 hour line up; as we stood in line (I guess looking like we didn't belong) a staff member pulled us to the side and offered us a spa day pass and suggested we return later after all the conventioneers had checked in. We took advantage of his offer and returned later. Walked up to a guy in his mid-20's, very friendly guy, passed him my passport, credit card and $50. He asked how I was and I explained that we'd been there a few hours earlier and had been told to come back later. I said that it's been a great day in the spa but we really wanted to get into our room because my (obviously pregnant) wife was tired. He said "Let me see what I can do". While he was looking at the screen I asked if we could get into the Augustus tower so that my wife wouldn't have to walk through the smokey casino all the time to get to our room. He said "Of course Dr. _______" and handed me my info/key. Got up to the room and almost fell over when we walked in....... 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, 1550 sq ft of luxury over looking the strip. What a great stay.......

We checked in yesterday Caesars Palace For 7 days, young guy maybe late 20's, I did it a little different though I had the bill folded in my hand just enough where he can see it handed him just the CC & ID, and all I asked for was a view. We were booked in a forum tower regular room comped, he gave us a palace tower petite suite (very cute huge closet space 2 bathrooms joined by a dual glass shower, huge jacuzzi bath tub for 2, king bed, couches ect) when i signed the paper i slipped it under and handed it back to him he said thank you ma'am (even though were the same age group lol) and I was on my way Edit/Delete Message

I thought this was a joke but thought "what is the harm in trying it out". My gf and I went from a Sunday-Thursday, we checked in around 1030pm. I just put my visa and id on the counter and right beside it I placed a 20 bill down and asked for a complimentary upgrade. He smiled and checked, I then put another 20 bill down and asked specifically for a room in the Agustise Tower. Immediately he asked if overlooking the Belagio fountains would do. I graciously accepted and our room was nothing short of AMAZING!!

Booked standard room on hotwire for 2 nights so I was already getting a decent deal, but thought to try anyway. Handed $20 bill sandwiched between CC and DL to man around 30-35yrs old at the front desk. I asked if there were any complementary upgrades available in Augustus Tower. He took the $20 and left it in plain view on the counter and said he would see what he could do. We were very pleased with our room, spacious, great view, well worth it!!

4 night/5 day stay, Sat - Wed, Checked in about 3:00PM, the line was long so we had time to size up the clerks. We had 4 in our room- 2 of us put in $15, the other 2 put in $10. So we approached the desk with a $50 bill in hand. We decided to try it out with whichever clerk we got (except for this one guy with a white jacket, he looked like a supervisor or manager). It's only by CHANCE that we got the clerk we preferred (if choosing was an option)- a young, tall guy who off of appearance alone was much more charismatic with his customers than the other clerks were, more especially the female ones who seemed to never look up from the computer. I booked a standard room on Expedia. I can't remember if it was the Palace or Forum Towers but I approached the desk knowing exactly what I wanted- and that was to be in the AUGUSTUS TOWER! First words out of my mouth were 'Hey man, how's it going?' he said, 'Great, what name is the room booked under?' I told him the name and said, 'Is there any chance you could get us into the Augustus Tower?' He smiled/smirked when he saw the $50 (which was purposely NOT sandwiched) and said something to the effect of 'Look at you guys and your tricks' and was immediately motivated to see what he could do for us. The $50 was not concealed in any way- he left it laying out next to his keyboard and was very friendly while tapping furiously at his keyboard. Don't bother having anxiety about the transaction because it was apparent immediately that this is common practice. He said we were early, which was good- but finding a room with 2 queens might make it difficult. He asked if we minded a smoking room, since that was the best he had available looking at the computer. None of us smoke or have a high tolerance for people who do so I asked 'How bad is it?' He said, 'In AUGUSTUS- not bad at all.' He was right- the only difference between that room and a non smoking room was the ashtray in the room- it didn't smell of smoke at all!! We were on the 26th floor, right next to the elevator. This turned out to be VERY convenient since the elevators were quiet and there was minimal traffic if any on our floor. In 5 days I don’t think I ever saw anyone besides housecleaning in the hallways. The room was extremely spacious with an amazing bathroom which included a TV, Jacuzzi, separate toilet, etc. Last but not least our view was of the Strip and Bellagio Fountains which served as a great backdrop throughout our stay. Higher floors might’ve had a tad better view- but there is something to be said for being the first off the elevator every time you get on with 4-5 other guests. Long story short- it was easily the best money that me or my friends spent while in Vegas!!

We arrived around 11 a.m. on a Friday and the line was only 10 deep. We got a younger female who was happy to look for upgrades just by us asking. I commented on how fast she was typing and her response was "we are competing for rooms". This tells me they are competing to upgrade people and make some extra cash for themselves. My boyfriend then made the cash, cc and DL visible. I don't even think she noticed the cash and hooked us up with an upgrade anyway. We gave her the $20 and she gracefully slipped it into her pocket..no words exchanged. Our upgrade was not ready, but they took his cell number and called about 2 hours later. In the meantime, we stored our luggage in our friends room. We ended up with an upgrade from Classic Tower to Augustus with a clear view of the Bellagio Fountains. The room was nice with a huge jacuzzi bathtub. Bed was really comfy!

I decided to wait til 2pm to check in and was attended by a black female in her late 20's early 30's, showed the tip and asked for a comp upgrade and she gave me the palace tower in a high floor room. If you get denied a upgrade you might as well wait a hour or two and try again later, worked for me.

At first she offered upgrades to suites for 120 per night and I declined and told her it was my first time to vegas and if there was anything complimentry that would be great. She said no complimentry upgrades existed...yet somehow she managed to find me one. She took the twenty dollars and said i could have it back as they work strictly on service not tips at Caesers. Flight was delayed into Vegas so I called ahead to let them know I will be arriving late out of courtesy. Checked in to Caesars at about 830pm. My girlfriend and I were the only ones checking in. Young (early 20s) female checked us in. As I handed her $20 showing between ID and credit card I asked if there were any "complimentary upgrades" she didn't even see the $20 and checked for anything available. There was a "smoking optional" (only downside) 800sq ft suite available. When she looked up to see if I wanted it and saw the $20 she automatically pushed it back but I insisted she take it anyway. The suite had a king bed, sofa, flat screen tv, glass enclosed double shower, jacuzzi tub, his and her bathrooms, make-up area, view of the pool on the 26th floor. Anything above that were the card-accessed suites. $20 trick definitely worked!

Very nice young female desk clerk at first said she didn't think they had anything. Then I told her we were celebrating my wife's birthday and she said perhaps she could find something. She ask if an 800 sq ft suite in the Palace Tower would do? We agreed and off we went to our room. Suite was very nice, clean and roomy overlooking the pool area. Enormous double bathroom with garden tub, bidet, large double shower with door from either side. The $20 trick worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip!!

Found this website about a month before we were going to Vegas. Was going to my first trip and definitely wanted to have a great time! Found out that the classic rooms were the oldest at Caesar's and knew that wouldn't do. Booked the trip with another couple and they decided to try for an upgrade as well. Check in line wasn't too long, we arrived on Thursday night about 11pm. Check in line was moving very slowly even though very few in line. Slipped the $20 in my passport, the lady checking us in slipped it back to me and said let me see what I can do first. She clicked away on her computer for about 2 minutes and said she could offer us a complimentary upgrade to the Palace tower, which is one of the newer towers. I slipped the $20 back to her after signing the reciept. What a room!!! Two sinks, jacuzzi tub, HUGE HUGE room. Definitely worth the $20. Made my first stay in Vegas unforgettable!

My first time, worked like a charm. Easy, I was a bit nervous but saw a bunch of youngsters (I'm 47) who I thought $20 would be meaningful for. He said that shouldn't be a problem when I asked THE question and was put in a nice room with a great flat screen tv and a tv on the mirror in the bathroom. Also had two shower heads in the shower, one coming straight down from the ceiling -- much water pressure, reminds me of the showerhead episode for those Seinfeld fans.

I have been to Caesars many times over the years and have found the trick to be effective each and every time! (I have tried it about 6 times)There was one occaision where the check-in clerk set it aside and told me to "wait and see if we actually have anything available". She was training a new girl at the time and I believe it was all for show. She then came through with the mini suite! I love Caesars and will return as often as I can afford.....butI will ALWAYS be able to afford the extra $20...it is well worth it! (and a smile goes a long way!)
